Product details
Product Overview
The VKEFOT 113 x 160 / 166 x 11.5 x 38 mm oil seal is a multi-step rotary shaft seal for concrete mixer truck reduction gearboxes. It seals the reducer output shaft where it passes out of the gearbox housing, retaining the gear oil and keeping wash water and site mud away from the bearing.
113 mm ID x 160 mm element OD, 166 mm flange OD x 38 mm overall width · NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber) · multi-step lip with metal case · water and mud resistant
Mixer truck reducers work in one of the harshest sealing environments on a construction site: constant immersion in wash water, high gear oil temperature, and heavy radial load from the drum. A single-step seal cannot bridge the bore-to-shaft step in these housings, which is why the reducer uses a multi-step seal with a separate outer flange. VKEFOT Seals manufactures oil seals, O-rings and custom rubber parts in Xingtai, Hebei, China, and supplies construction machinery parts distributors and mixer truck repair workshops.
Key Features & Benefits
Multi-step body for stepped housings: The seal is machined to two diameters — a 160 mm element that seats in the inner bore and a 166 mm outer flange — so it seals a housing with a step that a plain single-lip seal cannot reach.
Water and mud exclusion: The outboard lip and flange geometry are designed to wipe the shaft and shed wash water and site mud, which is what destroys mixer reducer bearings when a standard seal is fitted.
Spring-loaded main lip: A garter spring keeps constant radial load on the shaft so the lip holds contact through gear oil warm-up and the cyclic radial load the drum imposes.
Bearing-grade surface control: Matched to the shaft finish and hardness that spring-loaded lips need, so the seal is not destroyed by a rough or soft output shaft.
Rebuild-ready: Supplied for gearbox rebuild stock so a reducer can be resealed without waiting for a vehicle identification or a dealer part.

This is a combined size: an inner element of 113 x 160 x 13/16 mm with an outer flange of 166 x 11.5 mm, 38 mm overall. All figures are nominal production values — confirm against your sample or the reducer housing before releasing an order.
Material & Construction
The seal body is moulded NBR bonded to a metal insert, with the outer flange case carrying the press fit into the housing. Two sealing steps are combined in one part: the inner element seals the shaft in the bore, and the outer flange closes off the larger counterbore, with the outboard lip acting as a wiper against water and mud ingress.
Where a reducer runs hotter — for example on long haul cycles in hot climates, or with synthetic gear oils — the same geometry can be quoted in FKM/FPM or HNBR. Because the seal runs against wash water and slurry, tell us at the enquiry stage if the unit is steam-cleaned regularly so the compound and spring material can be confirmed.
Quality Control and Inspection
- Incoming: compound hardness checked before release to production.
- In process: flange and element concentricity, lip geometry, spring seating and step dimensions checked at set intervals.
- Final: dimensional check of ID, element OD, flange OD and width, hardness, visual inspection of the lip edges and marking, then packing count verification.
- Traceability: inspection results for each batch are recorded and kept; the inspection scope can be agreed before order confirmation.
Buyers are welcome to arrange third-party inspection before shipment; state the requirement in the enquiry so it can be built into the quotation.
Customization and OEM Service

Packaging, Carton and Delivery
Standard packing is individual polybag, inner carton, then export carton. Carton marks, labels and barcodes are printed to buyer specification.
Minimum order quantity depends on whether the size is a stocked standard or made to order. Pricing, MOQ, freight and trade terms are confirmed in the written quotation. Send an RFQ with quantity and destination port.
How to Order
The more of this you include, the faster and more accurate the quotation:
- Size or reference — 113 x 160 / 166 x 11.5 x 38 mm, or the number on your current seal.
- Quantity and destination — required quantity, destination country and port.
- Material requirement — NBR as standard, or FKM/HNBR for higher gear oil temperature.
- Packaging requirement — carton marks, label data, barcode requirement.
- Measured dimensions or a sample — output shaft diameter and both housing bores.
- Operating conditions — gear oil type, reducer temperature, wash-down frequency and site environment.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the exact dimensions of this oil seal?
Inner element 113 mm ID x 160 mm OD, outer flange 166 mm OD x 11.5 mm, 38 mm overall width. Confirm against the output shaft and both housing bores before release.
What is the minimum order quantity?
State your required quantity and we will confirm the applicable MOQ with tiered pricing.
What is the lead time, and can you ship by sea or air?
Sea and air shipments are both arranged; freight and transit time are confirmed per order and destination.
Can you supply FKM or HNBR instead of NBR?
Yes. Mixer reducers that run hot or use synthetic gear oil are often better served by FKM/FPM or HNBR in the same geometry. Confirm the compound at the enquiry stage.
Do you provide samples, and are they free?
Samples can be arranged for evaluation. Sample cost and freight are confirmed during the quotation stage.
Can you produce our packaging and logo?
packaging and logo available upon request.
What information do you need to quote?
The combined size or the number stamped on your current seal, quantity, destination port, material requirement and packaging specification. The measured output shaft and both housing bores help confirm suitability.
Request a Quotation
Send the combined size or the stamped reference, quantity, destination and any packaging requirement, and we will come back with MOQ, lead time, packing details and pricing. Samples can be arranged for evaluation before a production order.
