A built-in carbon steel garter spring maintains consistent radial preload on the shaft surface, even under heavy load vibration and road impact. The inner lip retains hub gear oil and bearing grease inside the assembly, while the outer lip blocks road dust, mud, grit and splash water from invading the bearing chamber, effectively extending the service life of wheel hub bearings and axle components.
