This 50 72 12 TC oil seal is a standard off the shelf component for industrial OEM and aftermarket maintenance. It is a rotary shaft lip seal with inner metal skeleton, integrally molded and vulcanized from NBR nitrile rubber and cold rolled steel skeleton under high temperature. The outer diameter is fully covered with rubber, which locks tightly against the housing bore by rubber interference, delivering reliable static sealing performance while absorbing minor vibration during equipment operation and reducing installation noise. The sealing end adopts a double lip structure: the primary lip edge undergoes precision post trimming, with a thin and flat lip surface. Paired with a carbon steel garter spring that provides constant radial clamping force, it fits closely to the shaft surface and effectively blocks internal lubricant and grease leakage. The outer auxiliary lip is a dust lip without spring support, mainly preventing external dust, floating particles and small splashing water from entering the housing, protecting internal bearings and gears from abrasive wear and extending equipment maintenance intervals. This specification strictly fits standard installation seats with 50mm shaft diameter, 72mm housing bore and 12mm groove depth. It requires shaft surface roughness between Ra 0.8 1.6μm, which is compatible with the conventional machining accuracy of most general equipment.
