TC Oil Seal

TC profile rotary shaft seals - single lip with spring and an outer dust lip, metal case, for gearboxes, pumps and motors. The most widely used metric seal profile.

TC is the workhorse profile: one spring-loaded sealing lip for the oil side and a second non-sprung lip that keeps dust and water away from it. The spring keeps the lip in contact as the shaft wears, and the metal case gives a firm press fit in the housing.

Sizes and materials

Bore diameters from roughly 10 mm to 250 mm. Nitrile is the default from -30 C to +100 C; FKM extends that to about +200 C and adds resistance to many oils, fuels and acids; silicone suits dry-heat positions where oil resistance is not required.

Quality control and inspection

Every production lot is checked for lip geometry, spring tension, case concentricity and rubber hardness, then inspected visually for flash, voids and flow lines before packing. Inspection results are recorded against the batch, so any shipment can be traced back to the lot it came from.
