Power Steering Oil Seal and Kit

Power steering oil seals and seal kits - pump shaft, rack end and input shaft seals, plus complete repair kits for steering gears and racks.

Power steering runs at high pressure on thin fluid, so a small lip defect shows up quickly as a leak and a heavy steering feel. These parts are dimensioned for the tight tolerance and high surface speed found in steering pumps and racks.

What we supply

  • Pump shaft and drive shaft seals
  • Rack end and pinion seals
  • Input shaft and sector shaft seals for steering gears
  • Seal kits covering the full set of seals needed for one rebuild
  • Dust and boot seals

Sizes and materials

Bore diameters typically from 18 mm to 50 mm. Nitrile and hydrogenated nitrile are standard for hydraulic fluid duty; FKM is used where sump temperatures run high.

Quality control and inspection

Every production lot is checked for lip geometry, spring tension, case concentricity and rubber hardness, then inspected visually for flash, voids and flow lines before packing. Inspection results are recorded against the batch, so any shipment can be traced back to the lot it came from.
