Automotive Drivetrains and Hubs oil seals Applications
Industry: Automotive
Designed for use in transmissions, differentials, drive shafts, and wheel hub bearings; provides both oil retention and dust protection; compatible with original equipment for passenger and commercial vehicles, as well as after sales
In automotive drivetrains, radial shaft oil seals must operate stably over the long term despite high speed shaft rotation, lubricant splash, and road vibrations. The hub and half shaft areas are also frequently exposed to mud, water, and dust, placing even higher demands on the dust proofing capabilities of the secondary lip and the clamping force of garter spring. Typical Applications: Transmission input/output shafts, differentials, half shafts, wheel hub bearing assemblies Recommended design: Single lip/double lip skeleton oil seals, optional secondary dust lip, stainless steel garter spring Common Materials: NBR (conventional oils), ACM/HNBR (high temperature transmission fluids), FKM (high temperature and synthetic oils) Procurement Considerations: IDtolerance, lip interference, eccentricity tolerance, salt spray and slurry test capabilities We support supplying replacement parts based on OEM drawing OEM customization specifications or by dimensions model for after sales applications, and provide material grade and dimensional inspection reports.
