Automotive Drivetrains and Hubs oil seals Applications

Industry: Automotive

Designed for use in transmissions, differentials, drive shafts, and wheel hub bearings; provides both oil retention and dust protection; compatible with original equipment for passenger and commercial vehicles, as well as after-sales

In automotive drivetrains, radial shaft oil seals must operate stably over the long term despite high-speed shaft rotation, lubricant splash, and road vibrations. The hub and half-shaft areas are also frequently exposed to mud, water, and dust, placing higher demands on the dust-proofing capabilities of the secondary lip and the clamping force of garter spring.

  • Typical Applications: Transmission input/output shafts, differentials, half-shafts, wheel hub bearing assemblies
  • Recommended design: Single-lip/double-lip skeleton oil seals, optional secondary dust lip, stainless steel garter spring
  • Common Materials: NBR (conventional oils), ACM/HNBR (high-temperature transmission fluids), FKM (high-temperature and synthetic oils)
  • Procurement Considerations: IDtolerance, lip interference, eccentricity tolerance, salt spray and slurry test capabilities

We support the supply of replacement parts based on OEM drawing OEM customization specifications or by dimensions model for after-sales, and provide material grade and dimensional inspection reports.
